WIP Wednesday

I did get a little more done on my socks, my shawl and my afghan. I am showing off the round ripple afghan. I am finding myself spending more time in blog-land
and less time on my projects.

Crocheted Necklace

I made up a crocheted necklace while watching TV Saturday night. I might start making more of these and maybe make up a pattern for this.

Invisible Decrease - Crocheted Balls

While bouncing around blog-land, I came across the Invisible Decrease
by PlantetJune.

I decided to ignore my current protects to make up some eggs and crocheted balls.

The pattern for the eggs can be found here. And speaking off eggs,I do have an egg collection that I am showcasing everyday now through Easter on my Wordless blog.

The pattern for the crocheted balls can be found here.

Going on right now on my Just Winging It blog, I have my Show Your Stuff blog hop going on. It is now in its 12th week and runs Friday though Thursday. You can showcase anything you want to show off.

Yup, these projects, now going on a few months (I think the shawl is a few months shy to a year old), are still works in progress. I also have a knitted dish going on from the left over yarn from the knitted market bag.

Heart Necklace and Pie Dishcloth

It is almost Valentine's Day. I wanted to make something that had a heart in it. So I decided to make a necklace. I did up two small hearts and three large hearts and just joined them with chined necklace. I think I made a little longer than I would of liked it. I also think it it hard to make out the actual heart shapes. Bit I will wear it tomorrow when I go out with my husband for Valentines Day. I am also made up a Pie Dishcloth, going back to checking out my pattern. One of the tings I am going to have to edit is to point out when you change colors. So just in case I don't get to it immediately, you would change colors at the end of the even rows. You can find the my pattern here.

Orange Market Bag

I finally did finish my market bag. I really liked how it turned out. I did start out by following a pattern that was on the yarn label. I am more of a crocheter than a knitter, even though I could do intermediate to advance knitting patterns, I really wasn't in the mood for it. So I did not do the pattern stitch it called for and stuck with a basic stockinette stitch. I was planning to sticking to the pattern when it came to do the handles, but I ran into another snag, I lost the pattern. I could not find the label that had the pattern on it, so I did what I could from remembering what I previous read. The next issue I had was gaping holes where I picked stitches along the sides, so I decided to cover that up with a crocheted ruffle or in each , which I have to admit, turned out really cute. Finally, I decided to add an internal packed. I used my Electronic Device Shelled Sock pattern and attached it to the inside edge. I am already thinking ahead of a crocheted version of this bag.

So I did find the original pattern I started out with on the Bernat web site. The pattern I intended to follow is here.  You will need to be a member to view the pattern.

Progress On Knitted Bag

I started to make this knitted bag based on a pattern on the yarn label. The original pattern had a pattern on on it, but I simplified it down to a stockinette stitch. So I plan on having it finished this weekend. I do have a blog hop going on in my other blog, so if you want to, go ahead and link up your projects there:

Doll Fashion Bag

The small blue bag started out as a Snuggie project for Barbie. I got the yarn at Big Lots for $1. I think Barbie deserves a soft Snuggie and the the cotton like material wasn't soft enough. I started a knitted market bag for myself (or maybe as a future gift), and it inspired to re-think the project and made it into a large market bag for Barbie instead. The bag may be too big for her, might be more suitable to an American Girl doll instead.
