My chain sock is a sock that is both knitted and crocheted. I wanted to see if it could be done and I was surprised on how well the sock turn out so here is the pattern I used:

You have 23 stitches on needle one and two and 30 crocheted stitches for the top of the foot
Repeat these next two rows until you have decreased 16 stitches and have 30 knitted stitches remaining (15 on each knitted needle)

Starting with needle 1, k until you get to the last three stitches, k2tog and k the last stitch.
On needle two k first stitch, slip the next stitch, k, and pass the slipped stitch over the k stitch. k until the last three stitches, then k2tog, k.
On need three k first stitch, slip the next stitch, k, and pass the slipped stitch over the k stitch and k til end

That's the perfect combination of knit and crochet, with each used where it's needed, especially the sole. Peace, SandraReplyDelete
