This could really be a cool looking scarf with the right yarn.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like much, I think. I was just using up some scrap yarn laying around.

I bet this could look cool in a ribbon yarn.

This is a fine fingering yarn, and I used an f hook.

The pattern:

ch 21, dc in in 4th ch from hook, dc across, ch 3, turn

Row 1: Sk 3 dc, * small V stitch (dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc, skip 2 dc* repeat until last 3 dc, skip 2 dc and dc in top of turning chain. chain 4, turn.

Row 2: *large V stitch (tr, ch 1 , tr) in ch 1 space of small v stitch* repeat until reach turning ch, tr into top of turning chain. chain 3, turn.

Row 3: *small V stitch (dc, ch 1, dc) in ch 1 space of large v stitch* repeat until reach turning ch, dc into top of turning chain. chain 3, turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length.

Last row: skip 1 dc, dc into each stitch across.
