Fourth Hat in #HatNotHate Series - The Triangle Hat

This is the fourth hat in the #hatnothate series. The pattern stitch comes from a book I got while I was still in Germany. Even though the book is in German, it has graphs of the different pattern stitches.  As it turns out, I had picked out the same pattern I used for my Triangle Socks.

The yarn I used is Heat Wave from Red Heart. I got it on clearance at Michaels.  I used size 8 double pointed (DP) needles.
Pattern:
Cast on 80 stitches on DP needles
Row 1-2: *purl 1, knit 4, purl 4, knit 1* around
Row 3-4: *purl 2, knit 3, purl 3, knit 2* around
Row 5-6: *purl 3, knit 2, purl 2, knit 3* around
Row 7-8: *purl 4, knit 1, purl 1, knit 4* around
Row 9-10: *knit 4, purl 1, knit 1, purl 4* around
Row 11-12: *knit 3, purl 2, knit 2, purl 3* around
Row 13-14: *knit 2, purl 3, knit 3, purl 2* around
Row 15-16: *knit 1, purl 4, knit 4, purl 1* around
Repeat rows 1-16 then repeat rows 1-8. It worked out to be 6 inches

Decrease rounds:
Row 1: *knit 9, knit 2tog* around
Row 2: knit
Row 3: *knit 8, knit 2tog* around
Row 4: knit
Row 5: *knit 7, knit 2tog* around
Row 6: knit
Row 7: *knit 6, knit 2tog* around
Row 8: knit
Row 9: *knit 5, knit 2tog* around
Row 10: knit
Row 11: *knit 4, knit 2tog* around
Row 12: knit
Row 13: *knit 3, knit 2tog* around
Row 14: knit
Row 15: *knit 2, knit 2tog* around
Row 16: knit
Row 17: *knit, knit 2tog* around
Row 18: knit
Row 19: *knit 2tog* around
Cut of a long enough tail, finish off by running the tail through the loops to close up the top.
