Last Two Hats in #HatnotHate series with a Chucky Crochet Hat Pattern

Here are the last two hats for the #hatnothat program made with Country Loom. The dark blue one is just a basic knit 2 purl hat.
This second hat is a crocheted hat using leftover yarn from the dark blue hat and the Chunky Blue Hat I had done earlier. Now all that is left to do is to mail off the hats.

Here is a quick pattern I did to make the crochet hat.
With a size N hook, Chain 21.
Row 1: slip stitch in the second stitch from the hook and in the next 2 stitches, sc in the remaining 17 chains. chain, turn
Row 2: working in back loops (and throughout), sc in the next 17 sc, leaving the remaining 3 un-worked, chain, turn
Row 3: slip stitch in the next 3 stitches, sc in the remaining stitches, chain 1, turn.
Row 4: sc in the next 17 stitches and the next 3 stitches from row 1. I had changed colors at this point.

Repeat rows 1-4 seven more times.

Sew up the side seams and closed up the top.

An important note: on row 4, when moving from back down to the previous row, you might want to sc 2 together on the 17th stitch and into the side of the previous row to prevent gaps.
