Crochet Angel

Welcome to September's Pinterest Challenge! The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen!

This month's challenge is to do a peace project project.

I have to admit, I was not sure what I was going to do this month. Then I came across this pin. I was even more moved when I read the blog post. 2020 was a hard year, but the author had lost 4 loved ones in a 6 month period ( July-Dec).  She had made these angels to help her cope around the 2020 holiday season.

So far I had only made the one. I may make more in the future. I do like the idea of making them for loved ones that I have lost.  Maybe somehow embroider the name or attach a picture. Just a thought.

Here is the pattern for the angel:

  1. Cute angel pin - these would even be cute as Christmas ornaments or tied onto a gift package!

  2. How lovely, I clicked through and read the original post too. What a lot of tragedy for one person to experience in just one year.
I think these angels would be lovely on a christmas card, detachable so they could hang on a tree each year afterwards. I love your idea of embroidering names on them too.

  3. Went off to read the story behind it first. So sad.... Hope she finds solace in the beautiful memories they created together. The angel is beautiful!

  4. I love the idea of adding a photo, or hang a small trinket inside the bottom of the angel to represent a loved one.
