My latest video is on how to make a Solomon Knot scarf. I have made plenty. My video will not only show how to make the scarf, but how to make the Solomon Knot or Love Knot.
The materials I used in the video is worsted weight yarn and a size g hook, but you can use almost any type of yarn and hook size.
To make the Solomon knot, draw up a loop that is about 1/2 inch (1-2 cm) in length, yarn over and draw up another loop, insert your hook between the single and double strand of the knot, yarn over and draw though both loops.
Foundation row: Make an even number of knots, plus two more.
Row 1: sc in the little knot (looks like a sc) after the 4th knot. *Make 2 knots, skip two knots, sc in the little knot after 2nd skipped knot* repeat until the end.
Row 2: make 3 knots, sc in middle of the 2 knot loop (the little knot or just in the center of the loop)* make 2 knots, sc in middle of the 2 knot loop (the little knot or just in the center of the loop)* repeat until the end.
Repeat row 2 until the desired length. Finish off.
