Welcome to this month's Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. This month's challenge is Spring. Since I did crochet flowers last month, I thought I would do butterflies this month. The sustainable part of this project is that I used the yarn I already had.
You can find the Pinterest link with the pattern here.
I gave the butterflies I made to my grandchildren as soft toys.
I also wanted to show you what I was originally planning for last month's challenge. I wanted to make a doll with a floral hat. I did not get it done in time. I thought that could still apply this month because of the spring-inspired hat and outfit.
I followed the petal part of this pattern for the hat.
You can find the Pinterest link for the doll here.
My granddaughter has to wear glasses, so she wanted her doll to have glasses too. My daughter had some pipe cleaner on hand and made glasses for the doll.
I improvided on making the dress on the doll.
I look forward to checking out other spring-inspired projects from other bloggers.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, both projects are adorable! I love the doll with glasses and a flower hat. As a kid who wore glasses myself I know how much I enjoyed making pipe cleaner glasses for my dolls too! Thank for the link to the butterfly pattern, they look so quick and easy to make with scraps of yarn.
