More Ripple Tube Socks

Surprise Yourself with a $10 Mystery Knitting or Crochet Kit from Darn Good Yarn.

This sock is made using Jo-Ann Sensations sock yarn and an E hook. This sock has eight cherons and 30 rows.

So here is the pattern I used for my socks:

Ch 118,

Row 1: sc in 2rd sc from hook, * sc in next 5, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in the next 5 ch, 3 sc into the next ch, repeat from * ending with 2 sc into the last chain instead of 3

Row 2: Working in the back loops, ch 1, sc in the next 6 sc, skip 2 sc, sc in the next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, *sc in the next 5 sc, skip 2 sc, sc in the next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, repeat from * end with sc in the next 4 sc, 3 sc in the last sc.

Repeat last row until desired width of foot width. I did 30 rows for about 7 inches.

For the toe:

32 sc along the end. Working in continuous rounds:
Round 1: sc in the next 6 and sc 2tog, around.
Round 2: sc around
Round 3: sc in next 5 and sc 2tog, around
Round 4: sc around
Round 5: sc in next 4 and sc 2tog, around
Round 6: sc in next 3 and sc 2 tog, around
round 7: sc in next 2 and sc 2 tog, around

For finishing sew up the toe and sew up the seam.

  2. Awesome! I think I might be able to pull these off!! I am happy to find some crochet patterns for small things I can carry with me. I have tried knitting socks, but just don't have the hang of it yet.

    1. I never tried it, it would have to be done so it would not leave a bumpy seam.

  7. These are very nice socks. I have made have made your small shell socks and enjoyed them greatly. Though I am not a very experienced crocheter, I found them very easy to make. Are these socks very hard to crochet? Thank you.
