Baby Sweater

I am always glad when it is Friday. I guess it means it is Fiber Arts Friday. Check out Wisdom Begins in Wonder's blog to see what other people are doing. I am making a sweater that will hopefully fit my granddaughter. She just turned 1. I am making the sweater for a size 2 in the pattern. The pattern comes from a magazine I got at a thrift store. I done have the magazine anymore, I had to throw it out. I did manage to salvage a copy of the pattern. The magazine I believe is called Afghan and it dated back in the 80's. So the front and back is made as one piece with alternating dc's and sc's. The yarn is a pink camouflage and it is called Baby Bee.

  1. Can't wait to see the finished sweater! I love those old pattern books, I saved several of my mom's. The women's patterns are still okay, but the men's patterns didn't age well!

  2. Those old patterns can be true treasures. I came across a lady on Ravelry last year who was hunting down a specific magazine because her copy of a pattern had started to get ruined. She was a woman on a mission trying to find that lost issue.

can't wait to see the sweater.

    Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
