Hat and Scarf

I finished off another knitted cap. I made this hat using the Magic Loop method. I am curious on why it slants on way at the beginning and them slants off in the opposite direction. The only explanation I can think of is that I must of flipped around accidentally. I have also started a scarf, it is an irregular basket weave pattern. I think it will turn out pretty cool.
