First I want to show off a doll I finished.
It is cute, but the sleeves turned out a little large.
Next, I got a commission to make the Mermaid Me Blanket by Susan Carlson.
My initial thought when looking at the photo is that is done in rows. As it turns out you have to make motifs (not a fan of motifs). So to get ready for this projects I made a dishcloth. This pattern is not for the beginner starting out, though it does have directions on how to make the motifs, how to connect them, photos, and a chart. The pattern calls for Red Heart Boutique Swanky and Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable as an alternate yarn substitution. I might look at other yarn options, but I might stick to either the two options listed. The requested colors is purple, pink, and red. I am going to look around for the yarn this week and I hope to get started.
Delightful and creative doll ~ Beautiful handwork ~ and bet the mermaid will be beautiful also ~
