Spiral Necklace

It has been miserable these past few days, our air conditioner is out with temps in the 90's.

So forget working on the heavy projects, I made these simple necklaces instead..

Some basic instructions.
I used a G hook and a medium (DK/sport) weight yarn.
So with the necklace below, the foundation chain is in blue.
You chain a number dividable by 3 plus 2.
sc in second chain from hook,*ch 5, skip 2 chains, slip stitch in next ch* repeat until end, except sc in the last stitch. change to new color.
ch 1, sc in first sc. * 7 sc in each chain 5 loop* repeat until end, sc in last sc, change to new color.
ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 3, skip 1 sc, sc in the next* repeat until end, finish off.
If you have an extra sc at the end, just sc in that.
I made a button loop and attached a button at the end.

I had used a novelty yarn with this one, due to its "fluffy" nature I left off the last ch 3 row.
Here is a video tutorial:

  1. cool! :-) Nobody else has got such a necklace! Maybe I'll give it a try myself!
Got some glittering wool that may be perfect for it...
    Have a nice day, Sigrid
