Granny Hat

Edit April 28, 2021: There is a video on how to make this hat at the bottom of the post.

If you followed me on Facebook, you have already seen photos of this hat. I just posted notes I took on my phone.

So now I am writing out the pattern for the Granny hat:
The materials include worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook.
Row 1: 12 dc in a Magic Ring, join with slip stich with first dc. ch 2 (NOT count as a dc)
Row 2: 2 dc in each dc, join with slip stich with first dc. ch 2
Row 3: *2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch2* repeat 11 more times, join with slip stich with first dc.
Row 4: slip stich to ch 2 space, ch 2 (remember, NOT a dc), 3dc, ch1, 3dc in same ch2 space, ch1, 3dc in next ch2 space, ch1, *3dc, ch1, 3dc in next ch2 space, ch1, 3dc in next ch2 space, ch1* repeat around, join with slip stich with first dc.
Row 5: slip stich to ch 2 space, ch 2 (remember, NOT a dc), 3 dc in same ch 1 space, ch 1 *3dc in next ch 1 space, ch 1,* repeat around, join with slip stich with first dc.
Repeat row 5 five more times
Making the brim:
Row 1:  ch 2, *fpdc around first dc in 3dc group, bpdc around 2nd dc in 3dc group, fpdc around last dc in 3dc group.* repeat for each 3dc group, join with first dc, ch 2

fpdc around the fpdc's and bpdc around the bpdc's for 3 more rows and finish off.
