Mitten and Hat Ornaments

Today I am sharing some Christmas ornaments that turned out really cute. The first one is a knitted hat. To make the hat I casted on 18 stitches, did a knit 1 and purl one around on double pointed needles until the piece measured about 3 inches. I did one row of knitting 2 together. With a really long tail, I sewed the loops (stitches) shut. With the same tail I attached a small pom-pom on top and added a loop on top. As you can see in the picture, I rolled up the bottom of the hat.
As for the crocheted mittens I followed a You Tube video from Jayda in Stitches. If you look through her videos you will also find one for a crocheted hat ornament.

I am sharing this post with Beverly's Pink Saturday, because there is pink in these ornaments.
