Drawstring bag

The pattern from this project comes from  the book I Taught Myself to Knit in the Round. I am sure I inherited this book. The book is part of a kit that includes needles.

This bag is made using the linen stitch. I went to You Tube to look up the linen stitch in case you want to recreated this.  Keep in mind that I did this project going around on double pointed needles.  The bag is a 4 row repeat round of knit, knit 1 slip one, knit, and slip 1 knit. I do not want to give away too much of the pattern away because of copywrite reasons. I posted this video to give an idea on how the linen stitch is made.

While I was searching You Tube, I found a crochet version of this stitch. I already am now thinking of making a crocheted version of this bag.
The flower on the bag is my Crocheted Flower pattern. I did not want to knit the flowers on this bag.  I also crocheted the draw string.

This is what the book looks like.

So keep an eye out for my crochet version, which I am going to start as soon as I post this.
