To make the bag:
worst weight yarn, stitch marker, and a size g hook.
Working in continuous rounds.
Chain 7
Row 1: 3 single crochet in the second chain from hook. Single crochet in the next 4 stitches
3 single crochet in the last stitch. Working on the other side of the foundation chain, single crochet in the next 4 stitches of the other side of the foundations chain.
Row 2: Single crochet in the next stitch (mark this stitch) and in each stitch around.
Row 3: *single crochet in the next stitch, chain 1* repeat around
Row 4: *single crochet in a chain 1 space, chain 1* Repeat this row until you you get the desired height, end at the end of the bag were you want to start the handle.
For the handle: single crochet in a chain space and the next single crochet stitch, chain 1 and turn, *single crochet in the next two stitches, chain 1, turn* repeat until you have a desired handle length. Finish off and sew the handle to the other side of the bag.
To make the hat:
worst weight yarn, stitch marker, and a size g hook.
Working in continuous rounds.
Use the stitch marker to mark the first stitch,
Row 1: 5 single crochet in a magic ring or chain 2 and do 5 single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
Row 2: 2 single crochet in each stitch around
Row 3: * 2 single crochet in next stitch, 1 single crochet in the next stitch* repeat around
Row 4: * 2 single crochet in next stitch, 1 single crochet in the next 2 stitches stitch* repeat around
Row 5-7: Single crochet
To make the little shelled brim:
Row 1-2: *3 single crochet in the next stitch, skip one stitch* repeat around
Row 3: *3 single crochet in the next stitch ( in the middle sc of the 3 sc cluster), skip 2 stitches around.
Slip stitch in the first stitch to finish off.
Here are the videos for the bag and the hat. It is still challenging for me to make these videos and I am still always learning. I have recently learned that it might be helpful to write out a script so I am not at a lost for words.
