Crochet Flowers

When this month's Sustainable Pinterest Challenge was floral, I knew I had to crochet some flowers.

The pin I used for inspiration can be found here. I followed the pattern found from the pin to make the flower part, but I did not make the stem. For the smaller flowers, I followed my crocheted flower pattern.

I had some plastic lacing that I was going to use someday for a basket. The color closely matched the vase I had. I was reminded how much of a pain it is to crochet with plastic.

It does look interesting with the vase.
Everything I used for the challenge I had on hand, except for the green vase. I rescued the vase from the clearance section for 99 cents.  You might recognize the angel from a previous Pinterest Challenge.  I say it laying on the table, and I thought I would use the floral wire to stand up the angel.

Here is another arrangement I made using a bottle I already had.

I hope you get to check out other projects from the Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. I know I will.

  2. What a clever way to use yarn that you already have on hand. I would never think to use plastic lacing for crocheting!
