I have a new video out, it is on to do this shell stitch pattern. This would be a great pattern for a blanket, scarf, or shawl, I have used the pattern to make a baby many, many, years ago. The baby is now a teenager.
Here is the written pattern.
Chain a number that is dividable by 6 plus 2
Row 1: sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. ch 1, turn
Row 2: sc in the first stitch *skip 2 stitches, 5 dc in the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, sc in the next stitch* across, ch 1, turn
Row 3: sc in each stitch across, turn
Row 4: chain 3, 2 more dc in the first stitch *skip 2 stitches, sc in the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, 5 dc in the next stitch* repeat until the end except do 3 dc in the last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Row 5: repeat row 3
Repeat rows 2-5 until the desired height.
Optional border:
End with row 4, turn work on the side, sc evenly along the side, turn to the side again, working along the foundation chain row, repeat row 4, turn work on the side, sc evenly along the side, finish off.
Hope you check out my video!
