Cute Pocket Monster

 This very cute monster is no sew.

Materials:
You can use any weight yarn and hook size. I would use at least use a size 4 yarn.
Scissors
Yarn needle
Stitch marker


 Special stitch 

Popcorn stitch: 5 dc in a stitch, take the hook out and insert it in the first dc, draw up the loop from the 5th dc, ch 1.

 

Foundation Row: ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each stitch across. Working on the other side of the foundation chain, 4 dc in the next stitch (first ear), slip stitch in the next 4 stitches , 4dc  in the last stitch, join with the first sc.


Working on monster body:

round 1: work in continuous rounds, sc in the front loops of the next 6 sc, turn and work on the other loop of the 6 sc ( 12 sc)

round 2: *2 sc in the next stitch, sc in next stitch (18 sc)

round 3-5 Sc around

At this time, sew on facial features.


mark were you want the arms,

sc until marked stitch, make a popcorn, sc until the next marked stitch, make popcorn,


then.… sc in every sc, skipping over the popcorn stitches (16 sc)


do 2 rounds of sc, the sc until you are in the middle of the the monster,


skip 8 sc, sc in the next 7sc, do 2 more rows of sc. fasten off


For the other leg, attach yarn to one of the remaining sc and do three rows of sc.
