Pokeball Hat, Frisbee, and a Blanket

I have finished up several projects of the last few days. I finished up my ripple blanket while watching the opening ceremonies to the Summer Olympic Games. I uses a combination of the afghan stitch and single crochet. It is similar to my Tunisian and Crochet Scarf Pattern, but I incorporate the ripple pattern in the single crochet row.

My daughter show me a picture of a Pokeball purse a few months back and she wanted me to make her one. I was looking on Ralvery to see if I could find a pattern. I came across the hat and decided to make that instead. The pattern is designed by Bonnie Jacobs and you can find the pattern here.   I also came across her pattern for the Frisbee and I wanted to make that too. I used chunky yarn instead of using worsted weight yarn. The original pattern called to crochet around 4 strands of yarn. I thought that by using a chunky weight yarn I would not have to crochet around strands of yarn. I thought it worked out and you can throw it like a Frisbee. You can find the Frisbee pattern here.
