Hello! and welcome to this month's Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. This month is thrift store find.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to up-cycle these cups. I decided to put a cozy on these cups.
Here is the Pinterest link for the cozy that went around these cups. I have to confess that it is my pattern. The pattern is for a bracelet. I think it turned pretty good as an espresso cup cozy. It is time to check out what everyone else has done for this month's challenge.

Wowza! What a great find! Those cups are most definitely worth more that $1 and nice that you just made cute cozies for them rather than changing them in any other way. The fact your cozies are from a bracelet pattern is so funny, just shows how versatile crochet is right?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely way to give cups a new look. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous find, Julie! And I agree with you that your thrift store find of Rae Dunn cups were worth way more than a dollar a piece! I'm so glad you didn't paint over or alter the finish. Your adorable cozies are the perfect solution to enhance and update them!
ReplyDeleteIt was a dollar for all 4 cups.
DeleteYes, I think someone didn't know how much Rae Dunn products cost. I wouldn't have guessed you could make cozies that small, but what an excellent idea using a crochet bracelet pattern. They look adorable on the cups!
ReplyDeleteI've just spend four times that amount on 4 cups! Great bargain. I love your cup cosy, I've been looking for a pattern. #mmbc
