Casual Crochet Scarf Anyone Could Wear

Sometimes you have to abandon your original plan and go with a new plan. I was working on a knitted scarf. I had found multiple mistakes and decided to go with a new crochet scarf similar to the knitted project I was working on.

I am not sure if you can tell from the photo, but there are two columns of bobble stitches in the scarf. It is a 4 roe repeat to do this simple pattern. You will need to be familiar with how to do the treble crochet (tc). I will have a video on how to make this scarf.

Materials

Size 4 weight yarn

Size I hook

This is a pattern stitch, so you can adjust the hook and yarn size.

Foundation row: Chain 34, sc in the second ch from the hook and in each chain across. ch 1 turn (33 sc)

Row 1: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn

Rows 2-3: sc in the next 3 stitches, *sc in the next stitch, tc in the next stitch* six times, sc in the next 3 stitches, *sc in the next stitch, tc in the next stitch* six times, sc in the final 3 stitches, ch 1, turn

Rows 4-5: sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn

Repeat rows 2-5 until you have the desired length, usually about 60 inches.

That is it, a simple 4-row repeat. If you want, you could do a single crochet border, with 3 sc in the corners.

I hope you get a chance to check out the video:
