This tutorial is another fidget toy! I am calling this my bumpy ball because it has bumps with which to fidget.
The ball should be easy to make as long as you know how to do single crochets and how to do a single crochet decrease. There is a video tutorial to help you along.
I used a medium-weight / worsted (size 4 weight yarn)
Size g hook or 4.5 mm hook
a stitch marker
scissors
yarn needle
stuffing for the ball
Special Stitches:
Bumpy Increase: sc 4 in the stitch indicated, take the hook off the loop, insert the hook back 3 stitches, and pull through the loop that was on the hook, a single crochet and a bumpy made
Bumpy: sc 3 in the stitch indicated, take the hook off the loop, insert the hook back 3 stitches, and pull through the loop that was on the hook, a bumpy made
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring
Working in continuous rounds
Round 2: Bumpy Increase in each stitch around
Round 3: *Bumpy Increase, sc on top of the bumpy* repeat around
Round 4: *Bumpy Increase, sc on top of the bumpy, Bumpy in sc* Repeat around
Round 5: *Bumpy in sc, sc on top of the bumpy* around
