These cute mini socks make great addition to your decor. Make a bunch of these to make garland
Materials you will need:
I used Hobbii Silly Sock Flower Pop Mini You can use any sock weight yarn
Size C of 2.5mm hook
2 stitch markers
scissors
yarn needle
Make the cuff:
Foundation row: ch 6, sc in the second ch from the hook
Rows 2-20: ch 1, in the back loops, sc in each ch across.
Make the sock.
Turn the cuff to the side, do 20 sc along the side of the cuff.
Working in continuous rounds, sc in the first sc and do a sc in every sc for about 5-7 rounds depending how long you want it.
Make the heal flap.
So sc, until you are at the side of the sock, ch 1 and Turn
Row 1, sc in the next 10 sc, ch 1 and turn
Row 2-4, repeat row 1
Make the heal turn,
Row 5: sc in the next 6 sc, ch1 and turn. Leave 4 sc un-worked
Row 6: sc in the next 2 sc, ch 1 and turn. Leave 4 sc un-worked
Row 7: sc in the next sc, insert the hook in the next sc and draw up a loop, insert the hook into the side of row 6 and draw up a loop, insert the hook in the next sc (from row 4) and draw through all 4 loops. sc in the next sc from row 4, ch 1 and turn
Row 8: sc in the next 2 sc, insert the hook in the next sc and draw up a loop, insert the hook into the side of row 6 and draw up a loop, insert the hook in the next sc (from row 5) and draw through all 4 loops. sc in the next sc from row 4, ch 1 and turn
Row 9: sc in the next 3 sc, insert the hook in the next sc and draw up a loop, insert the hook into the side of row 7 and draw up a loop, insert the hook in the next sc (from row 4 ) and draw through all 4 loops. sc in the next sc from row 4, ch 1 and turn
Row 10: sc in the next 4 sc, insert the hook in the next sc and draw up a loop,
insert the hook into the side of row 7 and 8 and draw up a loop, insert
the hook in the next sc (from row 5) and draw through all 4 loops. sc in
the next sc from row 5. Don't turn
Setting up for the gusset:
Put 5 sc on the side of the heel flap, put a stitch marker in the 5th sc, sc in the next 10 sc, 5 sc along the other side of the heel flap, put a stitch marker in the first sc of the 5 sc along the flap.
Repeat this decrease round 3 times:
*sc until one stitch before the stitch marker, sc2tog the stitch before the marker and the marked stitch. Put the marker back in this stitch, sc the next 10 (previously un-worked), sc2tog the marked stitch and the next stitch* after repeating this 3 times, you should have the 20 sc.
sc evenly around for about 5-7 rows until you ar happy with the length of the foot and are ready for the toe.
Make the toe.
Set up for the toe:
Put a stitch marker 2 stitches from the end of end. There should 9 stitches between each marker.
*sc up to the stitch marker, [sc2tog in the next 2 stitches] 2 times. sc up to the next stitch marker, [sc2tog in the next 2 stitches] 2 times.* repeat 2 more times. 8 sc total
Note: The video tutorial will show a slight variation for the toe.
Sew up the toe and the seam for the cuff
