My Basic Egg Pattern




Edit, Feb 5, 2022:  I am updating this blog post to include a video tutorial. I have found in the course of making this video that you can finish the egg off after row 10. It actually might be a neater egg if you do so.

Here are more eggs I did, and I am going to share a crochet pattern.

With Worsted weight yarn and G hook.
6 sc in magic ring
Working in continuous rounds.
Row 1: *2sc in next sc, sc in next* repeat 2 more times (9sc)
Row 2: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc* repeat 2 more times (12 sc)
Row 3:*2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc* repeat 2 more times (15 sc)
Row 4: sc evenly around
Row 5: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc* repeat 2 more times (18 sc)
Row 6-8: sc evenly around
Row 9: *2 sc together,sc in next 3 sc* repeat 2 more times (15 sc)
Start filling your egg
Row 10:*2 sc together, sc in the next sc* repeat 4 more time (10 sc)
Finish filling egg
**NOTE** You can finish the egg off after this row if you want.
Row 11: sc 2 together around (5 sc). Finish off and seal end of egg.
