Welcome to November's Pinterest Challenge! The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen!
This month's challenge is to do a Creative Wrapping project.
I wasn't sure which way I was going to go, Pinterest had many interesting ideas on how to wrap gifts. I finally decided on this hack for oddly shaped gifts. I had made a couple of snowmen for gifts:
It took a couple of times of watching the video, but I finally figured it out.
This plus side for this hack is I don't have to stress about finding boxes to fit my gifts. My concern is that wrapping paper is a little flimsy as a gift bag and I have to mail a couple of these gifts to their recipients. I will have to pack them well so they don't get too damaged.
So another crafty addition I might add to some of gift is to add a hyperbolic crochet ball. I remember my grandson asking me about hyperbolic crochet during a recent visit with my mom, so I made him one for his gift. I will likely make more for my other grandchildren's gifts.

Ooo! I love this idea! I buy brown craft paper by the bulk, so this might be a perfect way to use it. Its strong, too!
ReplyDeleteI've seen this idea on Pinterest but not tried it, so thanks for testing it out for us! Some paper can be very thin but I imagine it's fine for gifts that you are just handing over for the paper to be ripped off excitedly!
ReplyDeleteThe snowman with the little shawl is so precious! Love it! Such a fun way to wrap them too. My mom is the master at using wrapping paper to get all kinds of shapes done. I am always so impressed! Shame it isn't more sturdy as you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute way to wrap odd sized presents, Julie! I'm always looking on Youtube for ideas on wrapping items, too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI always have a hard time wrapping oddly shaped gifts, so thanks for sharing this! And I love the hyperbolic crochet ball. That's a great alternative for a bow. Pinning!
