I used cotton yarn and a size I hook in the video. You can use any size 3 or 4 weight yarn and appropriate hook size. So far I have only made this with size 3 and 4 weight yarns.
Chain 12
Row 1: Join with the first stitch for the ring, sc in each of the 12 chains, continue on by twisting to the other side of the foundation chain, and sc 12 more sc along the other side of the foundation chain. 24 sc total.
Rounds 2-6: working in continuous rounds, 3 sc in the first stitch, mark the first stitch for the beginning of the round, *skip the next stitch, 3 sc in the next stitch* repeat around for 6 rounds, and finish off by doing a slip stitch in the next stitch.
