I do have to say, I like how the colors turned out on this dishcloth using Dishie yarn from Knit Picks. The pooling effect is really cool. This is an easy one-row repeat like my Small Shell Washcloth and my Eye Candy dishcloth.
Materials for the dishcloth include:
Size 3 or 4 cotton yarn
Size g hook.
scissors and yarn needle
Foundation row: ch 32, 2 sc in the 3rd chain from hook. *skip 1 sc, 2 sc in the next chain* repeat until you are at the last chain, sc in that chain, ch 1, and turn.
Row 1: * skip next sc, 2 sc in the next stitch* repeat until you reach the last sc, sc in the last sc.
Repeat row 1 until your dishcloth is a square. I had 26 rows total.
Optional border:
Change the color at the end of row 26, if desired.
Start the next border row by doing 3 sc in the first sc, 2 sc in the next sc, * skip next sc, 2 sc in the next stitch* repeat until you reach the last sc, 3 sc in the last sc, turn the work to the side, do 2 sc for every 2 rows of the dishcloth, 3 sc in the corner, turn to face the foundation row, do 2 sc to correspond with the 2 sc groups in the foundation row, 3 sc in the corner, turn the work to the other side, do 2 sc for every 2 rows of the dishcloth, join with the first sc of the border row. Finish off
